Kim Lira, MS
Chief Executive Officer
Kim graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a Bachelor of Science Degree from the School of Health and Rehabilitation Science. Kim has been working in the Behavioral Health field for the last 19 years focusing on children and adolescent services. In December of 2003, she began her journey with Southwood as a Behavioral Health Associate on the acute inpatient unit. In 2005, she was promoted to a Case Management position while pursuing her Master of Science degree at Carlow University. In 2006 upon completion her master’s degree, Kim accepted a newly created role of Milieu Manger for the inpatient unit. After a short departure in 2006, Kim returned to Southwood as the Executive Director of the IDD/ ASD RTF program where she remained until 2009. In 2009, Kim accepted a position with a much larger program with several levels of care as the Director of Residential and Clinical Operations where she remained until April of 2011. She was recruited back to Southwood to take on the position of the Director of Compliance, Risk Management and Performance Improvement, which eventually segue into Kim’s promotion to the Chief Operating Officer for Southwood. When the former CEO was promoted to Divisional President within Acadia in 2019, Kim was promoted to the Chief Executive Officer role. In her free time, Kim enjoys spending time with her husband of 23 years and their two sons.
